Jeff Stephens, Founder & President
Many of you may know him from the Yuba City Farmers Markets, Stephens Farmhouse or within the farming community. Jeff Stephens.

Jeff is a California University of Chico graduate with a degree in Ag Business. After returning to Sutter County post college, he farmed peaches, prunes, walnuts, and watermelon. He also graduated from the California Ag Leadership program in Class 24.
Always dedicated to community and service, Jeff has served on the boards of the California Canning Peach Advisory, St. Isidore Catholic School, and Sunsweet Growers. He was a part of the Trauma Intervention Program for 4 years and has been an Exchange Club member for the last few. He has traveled multiple times to Mexico to build houses and to Cambodia in 2018 on a mission trip to work within different Orphanages.

Jeff and his wife, Cherie, opened Stephens Farmhouse in 2002; Jeff went on to begin the Pioneer Nut Company in 2007, the first and only Nut Company in Nevada.
In 2021, after farming for 40 years, he retired.
His newest passion is SAYLove, which stands for Sutter and Yuba Love. A non-profit he founded in 2019.
